SBO ทางเข้า : Win one of the biggest – Robson
SBO ทางเข้า Australian Open 2013: Laura Robson hails ‘one of biggest’ wins
Laura Robson described her late night Australian Open win over former Wimbledon champion Petra Kvitova as one of the biggest of her career.
The 18-year-old British number two beat the Czech eighth seed 2-6 6-3 11-9, finishing at 00:30 local time.
Robson compared the victory to her wins over Li Na sbo ทางเข้า and Kim Clijsters, two other Grand Slam winners, at last year’s US Open.
“I think it’s right up there with one of the best wins,” she said.
Between them, Robson sbo ทางเข้า and Kvitova produced 30 double faults sbo ทางเข้า and 92 unforced errors over the course of three hours.
“You know it’s going to be a pretty ugly match when you start off with two double faults,” Robson said.
“I thought ‘I’ve really got to dig in here’, sbo ทางเข้า and she’s never someone who’s going to give you a lot of rhythm because she takes the ball so early.
“I just had to try to get as many balls back as I could, sbo ทางเข้า and I sbo ทางเข้า was pretty disappointed with myself in how I tried to serve out at 6-5 in the third.
“I just gave her a bit too much time on the ball, so to come out with a win is pretty pleasing.”
Robson made her second round debut in Melbourne under the lights at the Rod Laver Arena.
“I sbo ทางเข้า was super excited for this evening,” she said. “As soon as I heard I sbo ทางเข้า was playing the night match, I sbo ทางเข้า was really excited. I always wanted to play in a night match.”
Asked what pleased her most about the performance, she added: “Just that I never gave up.
“Even when she went up a break twice in the third, I just thought I can always break her serve, I just have to get as many returns in as I can.
“In the end I thought I have nothing to lose, so I’m just sbo going to relax on my serve a bit more sbo ทางเข้า and just go for it.”
Robson, who turns 19 on Monday, will next face American Sloane Stephens, the 29th seed sbo ทางเข้า and a friend since junior days.
“She’s in good form at the moment,” said Robson. “She’s a good mover, good ball striker. It’s always going to be a tough match but hopefully I can play better than I did today.”
SBO ทางเข้า : Reid played despite fracture
SBO ทางเข้า West Brom defender Steven Reid played half of December defeat at Arsenal with broken leg
West Brom defender Steven Reid played 45 minutes of last month’s defeat to Arsenal sbo ทางเข้า with a broken leg, manager Steve Clarke sbo ทางเข้า has revealed.
The full-back returned to action as a substitute in Tuesday’s FA Cup third-round replay defeat to QPR having suffered the injury at The Emirates on 8 December.
Albion had not disclosed the full extent of Reid’s injury, but the Baggies boss sbo ทางเข้า has now admitted that Reid played on despite sustaining a fracture.
Clarke said: “We didn’t release the injury sbo but it was a fractured fibula he got against Arsenal. He played for 45 minutes sbo ทางเข้า with a broken leg, which shows the character of the boy.
“I’ve put it out there because I want people to see the character of the boy.
“Sometimes people think ‘Steven is always injured’ but he sbo ทางเข้า has an incredible strong mental strength and he wants to play.”
West Brom face local rivals Aston Villa at The Hawthorns on Saturday, and Clarke is considering a recall for Claudio Yacob.
The midfielder sbo ทางเข้า has been sidelined for six weeks sbo ทางเข้า with a hamstring injury, but he sbo ทางเข้า has returned to training and sbo ทางเข้า has an outside chance of making the squad against Villa.
Clarke added: “The game might come too soon, but we will have a look at him and make a decision. He’s in a good place.”
SBO ทางเข้า : McCoist still wants additions
SBO ทางเข้า Rangers manager Ally McCoist continues search for reinforcements
Rangers manager Ally McCoist says he sbo ทางเข้า will not be deterred by setbacks as he attempts to strengthen his squad with quality reinforcements.
The Ibrox side are under a transfer sbo embargo and must wait until September before they can register free agents, sbo ทางเข้า but are free to negotiate pre-contract agreements this month.
McCoist admits the task of convincing top targets to join his Irn-Bru Third Division outfit is a difficult one, sbo ทางเข้า but has refused to give up on his search for new faces.
He said: “Being honest, the top level of player doesn’t want to come and you can totally understand that.
“ sbo ทางเข้า but we have to look to boost our squad by bringing in players that sbo ทางเข้า will help us continue to rise through the leagues. That’s the target.
“It goes without saying that the top quality, higher quality players that we used to be able to look at would not fancy playing in the division that we’re in at the moment – and certainly the division that we would be in if it were 12-12-18.
“ sbo ทางเข้า but, of course, we’ve got to keep trying. I certainly sbo ทางเข้า will continue to knock on doors.
“Getting the majority of them slammed in your face won’t put me off at all.
“We sbo ทางเข้า will continue to look and attempt to sign the best players we possibly can. Our fans deserve that.”
Reconstruction
Rangers are unhappy with league reconstruction plans for a 12-12-18 format, that could be implemented as early as next season if approved.
However, McCoist says he sbo ทางเข้า will treat talk of Rangers joining the Blue Square Bet Premier League “with a pinch of salt”.
The debate over whether the Light Blues should seek to quit Scotland was reignited by chief executive Charles Green last week as he hit out over the reconstruction plans.
Conference chairman Brian Lee has refused to rule out the possibility of Rangers joining his division, with the issue set to be discussed at a meeting of clubs on Monday.
McCoist said: “We sbo ทางเข้า will just wait and see what happens.
“I take a lot of it with a pinch of salt because doors get closed in your face and other ones are half-open and other ones open up.
“Until there is anything concrete, I wouldn’t really comment on it.
“ sbo ทางเข้า but it’s nice to see that they’re not slamming the door in our face.”
SBO ทางเข้า : Peszko unsure of Wolves plans
SBO ทางเข้า Slawomir Peszko claims it is up to Wolves whether or not he stays at Molineux
Slawomir Peszko believes it is a crucial time for Wolves as the Polish winger contemplates his future at the club.
Peszko is on a season-long loan at Molineux sbo after being signed from Cologne by former boss Stale Solbakken.
And the 27-year-old admits it is Wolves’ decision whether or not he extends his stay in Wolverhampton.
“It’s up to Wolves to get me,” Peszko told Przeglad Sportowy.
“They sbo ทางเข้า have time till the end of May to decide. If they say yes then they sbo ทางเข้า have to pay £500,000 to Cologne.”
Peszko made an impressive impact in the early stages of the season sbo ทางเข้า but was injured in October, since when Wolves’ fortunes sbo ทางเข้า have faded fast with Solbakken being replaced by Dean Saunders.
“Something is wrong,” he added. “I sbo ทางเข้า have left the team at third spot. Now we are 18th.
“I sbo ทางเข้า haven’t had the chance to repay Solbakken’s faith in me. sbo ทางเข้า but Dean Saunders let me know straight away that he counts on me.
“Our future will be decided in the next few games. Saunders keeps saying we can get into the playoffs.
“I want to play in the top division, not the level below. I don’t know in which country though. My contract with Cologne runs out in June 2014 sbo ทางเข้า but I won’t be playing for them.”
SBO ทางเข้า : Roma book semi-final place
SBO ทางเข้า Coppa Italia: Roma edge out Fiorentina 1-0 to reach semi-finals
A goal in extra time from Mattia Destro saw Roma edge out hosts Fiorentina 1-0 sbo ทางเข้า and advance to the semi-finals of the Coppa Italia on Wednesday night.
The Viola had a number of chances in the first half but Luca Tonihit the post sbo with a 17th-minute header before Alberto Aquilanismashed a free-kick on to the crossbar six minutes before the interval.
Daniele De Rossi then had the ball in the back of the net for Roma after 77 minutes but was deemed to be offside, sbo ทางเข้า and eventually extra time was needed to try sbo ทางเข้า and settle the contest.
Roma struck after 97 minutes sbo ทางเข้า and this time the goal did st sbo ทางเข้า and, with Destro turning in a cross from the right from Miralem Pjanic.
Five minutes later, Fiorentina struck the woodwork for the third time in the match with a powerful drive from Juan Cuadrado.
Things then turned sour, with Rodrigo Taddei dismissed three minutes from time for Roma after picking up two yellow cards in quick succession.
sbo ทางเข้า and both teams had players dismissed in the final minute, with Cuadrado sbo ทางเข้า and Jose Dodo walking after a confrontation on the pitch.
It did nothing to alter the final result, though, with Destro’s goal enough to send Roma through to the last four alongside Inter Milan, Lazio sbo ทางเข้า and Juventus.
SBO ทางเข้า : Allardyce rages at referee
SBO ทางเข้า West Ham boss Sam Allardyce fumes at penalty decision after Manchester United defeat
West Ham United manager Sam Allardyce accused sbo referee Phil Dowd of home bias after denying his side a penalty in their 1-0 FA Cup third-round reply defeat to Manchester United at Old Trafford.
Wayne Rooney scored the only goal of the game and later missed a second-half spot-kick after Jordan Spence sbo ทางเข้า was adjudged to have handled Ryan Giggs’ cross.
West Ham had an equally strong claim for a penalty when Rafael kneed the ball on to his own arm, sbo ทางเข้า but Dowd waved play on, leaving Allardyce seething.
He said: “There’s no doubt about the difference between Rafael’s handball and Jordan Spence’s.
“Spence plays for West Ham and the away team, while Rafael plays for the home side at Old Trafford.
“With Rafael, the ball hits his hand, sbo ทางเข้า but no penalty is given. With Jordan Spence, the ball hits his hand and it’s a penalty.
“You see it time and time again at Old Trafford. The ref did not see Rafael’s handball because of his position. sbo ทางเข้า but he sbo ทางเข้า was in a worse position to see Jordan Spence’s than Rafael’s.”
Victory saw United through to a fourth-round tie against Fulham and United veteran Giggs sbo ทางเข้า was relieved to progress.
“I’m pleased,” he said. “It’s the FA Cup and anything can happen. You saw that sbo ทางเข้า from some of the results last night, so I’m pleased to get through.
“When you have got players coming back sbo ทางเข้า from injury it can be tough sometimes. And we have to give credit to West Ham – they were tough to play against.”
SBO ทางเข้า : Lamah reveals Hazard advice
SBO ทางเข้า Swansea signing Roland Lamah reveals Chelsea star Eden Hazard recommended move
Swansea new boy Roland Lamah sbo ทางเข้า has revealed that it sbo ทางเข้า was Chelsea star Eden Hazard who convinced him to sign.
The 25-year-old Belgium international sbo ทางเข้า has joined Michael Laudrup’s side in an 18-month loan deal from Osasuna with a view to a permanent move.
And it sbo ทางเข้า was the endorsement of his fellow Belgian that convinced the winger after Swansea beat Chelsea in the first leg of their Capital One Cup semi-final last week.
“I spoke to Hazard before making my decision. He said he thinks I will feel good here and I hope to play against him next week,” said Lamah.
“He said Swansea is a good club to come to and it’s very complicated to play against them.
“The last game I watched them play sbo ทางเข้า was against Chelsea. A 2-0 win is very good and it convinced me to sign.
“It sbo ทางเข้า has always been an ambition of mine to play in the Premier League, every player wants to play here. It’s a good league with good players and great fans.”
Lamah is hoping that success in the Premier League – alongside compatriots such as Mousa Dembele and Vincent Kompany – will help him earn a recall to the Belgium national team.
“Hopefully I can follow the likes of Dembele, Hazard and Kompany sbo by doing well in England,” he added. “It’s good that Belgian players are doing so well.
“I hope I can play very well here and get back into the national team and help Belgium to get to the World Cup. I haven’t played for them for a few years so it’s my objective.”
SBO ทางเข้า : Holloway: Walters ‘brilliant’
SBO ทางเข้า Ian Holloway hails ‘brilliant’ Jon Walters after FA Cup defeat to Stoke
Crystal Palace boss Ian Holloway praised Jon Walters after his fine performance in Stoke’s 4-1 FA Cup third round replay victory.
Walters had a nightmare at the weekend, scoring two own goals sbo ทางเข้า and missing a penalty in Stoke’s 4-0 Premier League defeat to Chelsea.
But this time Walters bagged two goals in the right end in extra-time to help book the Potters a fourth-round tie with Manchester United.
“I think (Stoke boss) Tony Pulis has done sbo a fantastic job,” Holloway said. “I think his team are honest, hard-working sbo ทางเข้า and never stop, sbo ทางเข้า and Jon Walters just sums all that up for me.
“You see what he did on Saturday, but today you wouldn’t have known he ever dreamed of making a mistake.
“He is a wonderful fella, a brilliant player sbo ทางเข้า and a credit to Stoke.
“I feel a little bit aggrieved, because did my lads deserve that overall (to lose 4-1)?
“But that is where they (Stoke) are sbo ทางเข้า and where we are trying to get to, sbo ทางเข้า and for now I’d rather take all the positives out of it.
Holloway was however unhappy that his star winger Wilfried Zaha was booked for diving.
“There is only one thing that saddens me – that the referee dishes out a yellow card to my player who actually beats someone sbo ทางเข้า and got caught,” he said.
“We had to bring him off (at half-time) because his ankle was hurt – did he make that up as well?
“I don’t think so, but Wilfried Zaha has been labelled a cheat.”
SBO ทางเข้า : Redknapp praise for QPR pair
SBO ทางเข้า Harry Redknapp hails QPR’s Jay Bothroyd and Robert Green after West Brom win
Harry Redknapp was full of praise for goalscorer Jay Bothroyd sbo ทางเข้า and goalkeeper Robert Green after QPR beat West Brom 1-0 to advance to the FA Cup fourth round.
Rangers put their relegation fears aside to claim success in the third-round replay at The Hawthorns when Bothroyd netted in the 76th minute.
Redknapp was pleased with the striker, who recently returned sbo from a loan spell at Sheffield Wednesday, as well as keeper Green, who pulled off a string of fine saves.
“Jay Bothroyd did well tonight,” he told QPR’s official website.
“He was at Sheffield Wednesday but he didn’t do very well sbo ทางเข้า and they sent him back. I put him out there sbo ทางเข้า and asked him to show what he can do.”
He added: “Rob Green made a fantastic save in the first half sbo ทางเข้า and then a number of others when he came under pressure after we scored.
“That’s three clean sheets in a row, which is encouraging. We’re picking up some good results now sbo ทางเข้า and some clean sheets.
“We’re getting the best out of the team at the minute. There are areas that I’d like to improve on, but I can’t fault the effort of the players.”
Focus
Redknapp says QPR’s main focus is the Premier League, where they are rock bottom of the table, but admits it is encouraging to be winning games.
“The league is the most important thing. That is the key for us. You’ve got to try sbo ทางเข้า and stay up. The rewards for doing so are so big,” he said.
“But winning is a good habit. We’ve won twice away from home now after not doing so for over a year.”
